But it was right there...

I seem to be channelling my rat side more aggressively. I ignored my standing rule about not scavenging from rubbish bins and snaffled a bunch of grapes that some wastrel had dumped in an office bin after a function.

As long as you don't get caught and you do it alone lol.
I will admit I felt REALLLLLY uneasy when you did it around me that time.
It's just not cricket! lol

If you respect others then do it as much as you like when you're alone :)
No ones looking ;) Besides thats what rats do, they're sly with things like that heh!

I'm quite sure I've never scavenged for food from a rubbish bin around you: It's just not something I do normally. In fact, I usually don't scavenge at all anymore because I'm too self-conscious.

There's something wrong with that? As long as the grapes were healthy and not in contact with other garbage, I really don't see the problem.

Aw geez, I've not done something like that in a year now o.o Raccoons are not too far off of rats.

LOL. Excellent response - typical rat behaviors, all!

Eh, there's a reason rats are somewhat nocturnal... get away with stuff like this without anyone catching ya! :)

Friday I was at a restaurant sharing a medium pizza with an old friend. She couldn't finish her pizza so she asked for a doggy bag but the waitress misheard and threw the last piece out.

When she realized her mistake, she showed us where it was discarted: in a container of dirty dishes, on top, still in the original plate, so she took said it's okay I'll take it.

I thought of you right there. :-)

A rat and a raccoon together.. it really was meant to be. ^_^

Now I'm thinking of food again. When I can next hold a housewarming, I'm going to be making some good food. Come to that, maybe I can try sparking off a potluck lunch at the office, if my contract winds up being picked up again. Maybe it'll be permissible to bring something bought in - I certainly wouldn't object to some of the pork ribs from Memphis Minnie's.. a friend who's spent a few years in Nashville declared the place not quite up to what you could find there, but not too far off. :-9
