Binna Burra--the aftermath

Because I haven't been able to find any photo sharing service I like as much as Flickr, I've bitten the bullet and resigned myself to having my photos divided and made a few new accounts there. I'm kicking them off by sharing photos from Binna Burra where Ristin and I went last weekend.

I wonder, why do you need multiple accounts?

Because Flickr has a 200-photo limit in the photo stream. You can keep adding more photos, but the ones at the other end just fall off and can't be viewed any more. They don't get deleted, but there's no way to access them any more unless you get under the 200 photos in your photo stream again.

I'm surprised you don't use some proffessional hosting. What kind of features make flickr your choice?

The ease of uploading, the support for comments and descriptions, the versatility in sorting and presenting photos. I don't for a pro account on Flickr because I'm cheap and don't want to pay a fee every year to keep my photos alive. If I could pay a one-off for a permanent account, that would be different.

One might add that the limit of 200 photos only applies to free accounts.
