Question

Why can't parents just be happy their child has found someone to love?

It didn't go well, I surmise..:-(

Oh bugger all stiffnecked reactionary oldfashioned parents!!! *grumble*

I haven't heard anything yet. It's just in my nature to fear the worst. I know things won't go well when I come out to my parents.

I know there are parents out there who are just glad for their children, no matter where they find happiness. But I fear neither Ristin nor myself have been blessed in this way.

One of my questions exactly... But it sounds like things went better for you than they have been for me...?
I'm glad to hear that if it is so ^^

Because many parents seem to focus more on trying to mold their children into versions of themselves than trying to see them as individuals, I guess. :/ I know mine do.

I suppose I missed something here? I can only assume your folks are giving you trouble about your mate. Hope things get better if that's the case. *hugs*
