Well, it's all coming down to the wire in the Senate and as usual Queensland is right in the middle of it (I love this State!). The Greens picked up the last seat in Tasmania ahead of Family First (thank God for small mercies), and the ABC's political analyst, Antony Green, is predicting the Greens' Drew Hutton will pick up the last seat in Queensland ahead of the Nationals' Barnaby Joyce assuming below the line preferences follow ticket preferences (not at all a safe assumption). Of course, we won't actually know until they hit the button to distribute preferences tomorrow morning. If Barnaby wins the last seat, he will hand the Coalition control of the Senate for the first time in over 20 years, probably by a handful of votes.
You can imagine I'll be listening avidly to the radio tomorrow morning!
