Rattus and the Ratatouille banner

I got some really amazing presents for my birthday (not least of which was a trip to a real French restaurant!) but I have to admit that the most amazing was an actual banner promoting Ratatouille, courtesy of brisdrake. Naturally, Rattus just had to pose with it. Thank you so much Drake!

I can't help but think that Rattus is the cuter rat of the two. :)

Wow, great score! And Rattus is really yiffy, lying down like that. Murr!

So cute!!!
That poster is huge.
I have something for you here too. I got it the day after you left. But it's a little big to post up. I guess I could, just a bit costly.

Oh I'll try and send you the pics of Rattus at Ratatouille movie night.

What a cute rat he is!

Happy Birthday Marko! Well I think that whoever gave you that banner, probably gave you one of the best birthday presents you've ever gotten.

(gazes at images)

Rat fursuit, poster rats, domestic rats in the cage. There's a whole lotta rats at Westhaven.

That Ratatouille poster is great. FlameDrake certainly gives excellent gifts!

Awww. Too darn cute! :D

I hope the restaurant trip was enjoyable. Did you get to try any particular delicacies?

Fri, Oct. 12th, 2007 10:47 pm (UTC)

Well, we had escargot of course. I can't name other individual dishes but it was all wonderful! (With the possible exception of the escargot.)

Sun, Oct. 14th, 2007 08:15 pm (UTC)

Is it "common" to admit you don't like escargot? I was just so garlicky and the chewy texture was a little off putting.

Sun, Oct. 14th, 2007 09:25 pm (UTC)

Er, I think in that second sentence I meant to say "It" rather than "I". What a revealing Freudian slip! (Thanks to higgs_raccoon for pointing this out.)

lofwyr: Utterly random comment.

Well, not quite. I vaguely remember you having an entry somewhere about how few rats get good press in the media (i.e. books, movies etc.) - or was it a comment on Ironclaw - and I just remembered another really good example of rats being portrayed in a good light somewhere.

Ever played or heard of Final Fantasy IX? It's the last Final Fantasy game Square released for the Playstation 1, and one of the main characters is Freya Crescent a rat dragoon who is a very cool character.

Just wanted to share my memory - I have no idea if you already knew about Freya or not, but I did remember your complaint about rats.

I can't really make that complaint any more, now that Ratatouille (and, to a lesser extent, Flushed Away) have come out. But thank you though for another positive rat role model and in fact it sounds like a whole positive rat society.
