Year of the Rat draws to a close
The Year of the Rat started with so much promise, but it's left me and at least a few other rats disappointed. If it's taught me anything at all, it's that we have to make our own luck and not rely on a Chinese horoscope to do it for us. As we welcome in the Year of the Ox, now is a good time for us to reflect on the highs and the lows, what we did right and what we did wrong. Let's not make the same mistakes this year.

Well reflection of the year past is always good.
Finding ways to improve upon past mistakes and/or errors advancing towards the goal also advances your viewpoint.
We make our own luck, definitely. So, using the viewpoints above your luck should improve.
Born in the year of the rat, has not disappointed yet.
Hope the year of the Ox treats you very well.

We'll all make different mistakes this year, and lots of them, but we'll get through it anyway. *hugs*

I was born in the year of the Ox (always wished i was born a year earlier lol). Hmm... maybe i should make something of this year for myself, hah.
I did enjoy all the rat collectibles i could pick up that were connected to the year of the rat last year though! :D

In the same boat, birth year wise. Ah well, in my heart I'm a rat, which is what matters I suppose.
I love your icon! :)

I was born in the Year of the Boar myself. I missed out on being a rat in the Chinese zodiac sense by three months. But I'm a rat in the therian sense and I like to think that can transpose to the Chinese zodiac.

For what it's worth, in the Chinese horoscope story the rat rode on the ox's head to cross the river, before jumping across the finish line first. So maybe we all rideon top of year of the ox and benefit ;)

We're still enjoying the last day of Rat here in the States. Happy New Year! OMG, the Chinese calendar, it's a second chance to start a new year off properly!!
May you be lucky enough to choose the right paths as you continue your journey though life. May we all learn from the past and be wiser in the future. I hope the ox is your friend.

Rely on luck? Oh hoh, Silly lil cuteling rat.
Luck is there to help lubricate our own efforts. But it spurns us whom rely solely on actions other then our own.
From a global perspective through, I must say the year was pritty bad. From a local perspective through... :3 Things have been well. I could nat ask for more.
Well.. I could. It's gunna be nice to see ya'll :D

The year of the rat was good for me in the way that I helped out so many unwanted pet rats find homes and also taken many in as pets to my place, which made me feel like I've done something really important. :-)

I think you had the most positive year of the rat of all of the people I know on LJ, because of the great rescue work you've been doing :)
