My newest raccoon

I was going to do an angsty post about "the raccoon before Ristin" but I'd much rather talk about my newest raccoon. Not ristin (though he's never far from my thoughts), but my latest plush. When I saw Nestor in the window of The Teddy Bear Shop, my heart lept to my throat. Raccoons are so hard to find (at least in Australia) and I knew I just had to have him! I had previously given up that shop as being too focussed on teddy bears (as you'd guess from the name) but I saw a much larger range of species this time. Also, the shop assistant really understood plush! Nestor's fur is so soft and luxurious, he's just a delight to hold.

Very nice! Never seen this 'coon before. Who is the manufacturer?

The tag said it was made in the European tradition, which set off a few alarm bells. Sure enough, "Made in China". He's still gorgeous, though.

He looks nice!

I have a huge raccoon, seen in this image. They came to fix the windows and I had to take tons of stuff out of my room to clear the window area. You can also see my Dakin Elegante Matilda plush. :-)

He's fantastic! Raccoons (and wolves) are similarly hard to find over here. :(

Arakinuk, you don't have to wait for Ristin to show you. I have a photo of me in it right here.

Ooh, that sounds like fun! Any chance you could post a link? (That one leads to a protectimified entry)

Alternatively, I could add you as a friend. Try again now. :)

I think that post was just friends-only rather than my TMI filter, but I could add you to that too if you like. You seem nice enough.

Aw! Thanks! And I'm now doubly pleased you did - that's really quite wonderfully cute.

I noticed Disney released quite a nice Aladar open-face suit around the time of Dinosaur's release, but, as happens all too often, only in children's sizes. I believe the operative phrase here is "poop".

thanks, and sorry I'm not another Oz raccoon! *scritches*

Just adorable!

You got me thinking Marko, and I do not think I have seen any raccoon plushies here in Michigan (US). I was amazed to find the raccoon snowglobe I have.

On another web forum we frequent, Ristin calls himself "Australia's #1 raccoon" as a joke (he's the only known Australian raccoon furry). Well, to me, he's the World's #1 raccoon! *hugs him* I need him to make my life complete.

Well, how about this story: Toy Store - would a raccoon version of that be okay? ^_^ (Caution: the site banner imagery probably isn't safe for work)

Oh, I do have a Care Bear Cousin Raccoon. Cousin Raccoon that is.

Plus my Raccoon In A Globe™

Rose, darling, I love the raccoon in a globe, but the care bear is so calculatedly cute it's considered evil in the furry community.
