Diving 'roos and blind faith

Two strange dreams last night, probably because I was feeling like I was coming down with a cold:

I was riding the bus home. It was a small bus (probably only a 12 seater), and for some reason it was going down a dirt track through bushland. I saw a pair of 'roos, a male and a female, diving, dolphin-like, into a muddy lake. I thought it strange, so I got off at the next stop so I could investigate further. They stayed under for quite a long time, like dolphins, but eventually they came up and were fed by a bus load of tourists who were being herded by a shady, unscrupulous tour leader. There was a huge stereo system playing rock music behind them, but I can't remember what it was.

I was a shadow minister or otherwise someone senior in the Labor Party, talking to the leader (in the dream), a sinister version of Bob Brown, leader of the Australian Greens (I'll get on to why I think this was the case in a later post). I felt ingratiating loyalty towards--he was destined to be the saviour of the Labor Party! He told me to get a hair cut in the next few days (in hindsight I feel the timing was important for some reason) and I assured him I would. I was reflecting how he was an excellent swimmer in his younger years and how unfair it was that his inclusion in the Olympic swimming team was overshadowed by speculation that he only got in on a special scheme for aboriginals (he was half aboriginal in the dream--shades of Australian Democrat Aden Ridgeway perhaps?).

I don't know what either of these dreams mean, but I rarely remember my dreams, so I thought it might be amusing to write them down.

I think it means you might get into politics at some stage. Though would it be Labor, the Greens or the Democrats? That's the question. ^-^

Not Labor (they're the other half of the two party system we're stuck with in this country), and the Democrats are in disgrace for me right now. I was considering joining the Greens, but quite frankly I'm not comfortable with some of their policies. I still fully intend voting for them at the next election, for reasons I may go into in a later post.

You know, the first time I read this post, I didn't see the first line that says those were dreams you had. Imagine my surprise... o.o
